                                  In june 2020 Sharina won the Dutch Cultureprize 'De Gouden C' 2019

                                  for the workshop 'Refill your cup with authenticity'.

​

                                  In october 2018, Sharina's artwork 'Freedom at Sunrise' was chosen as

                                  the official artwork for Aruba Art Fair (AAF) 2018.

                                  This painting was used for the branding of AAF 2018.

​

                                  In may 2018 Sharina Gumbs was invited by the University of Aruba to

                                  give a workshop on the topic of 'Discovering Self through Art' to students

                                  of the department Social Work. This workshop has been repeated in may 

                                  2019.

​

                                  On november 30th 2017 Sharina's artwork 'Perseverance in Progress'

                                  was awarded to the winner of the Aruba Short Film Festival in the

                                  category best film.
